Your higher degree:
The emotional roller-coaster ride

Working towards a higher degree can sometimes be a solitary, lonely pursuit. One minute it is highly exciting and the next it is emotionally draining. You may feel elated when your data analysis supports your hypothesis, but as dry as the desert when it comes time to write about it.

This workshop provides a forum for RHD students to discuss the ups and downs of doing a PhD. Here is your chance to talk about these issues with other students and with experienced facilitators. The purpose of this workshop is to share common issues and to hear and discuss possible solutions.

The course will help you to understand and deal better with these key areas of the emotional roller coaster ride:
* You’ve just begun - now what?
* My data collection isn’t working out
* These results are fantastic (today!)
* You mean I have to write it all down?
* I can’t find my supervisor (and/or I don’t want to)
* What am I supposed to do when I’m finished?
